• Thanks to the valiant efforts from our MTD members, we managed to gather more people after the accidental wipe. MTD Bera can always use more members though. ^^

MTD Broa ~ Hobbes, Leader of MTD Broa

• I will no longer be leader of MTD Broa the next time you see the MTD Mondays blog. During the week, I will be finalizing my resignation, and I will suggest a new leader for Flip to consider. Thanks for all the support you've given to our guild. I hope that MTDBroa will become a great guild! :]

• It's been a rather exceptional week seeing that four members moved into the: '3rd Job advancers' category; Congratulations to them!
• On another note, we will be holding a Guild Event, please would all members who would like to participate, come to Victoria Island: Sleepywood; The date has yet to be announced but the time will be around 3:00 PM (UK Time).
• Finally, we have upgraded our member capacity to 40 members, anyone who wishes to join please make an application. Thank you.

Other MTD News

• Congratulations to all those who participated and won something from our Race to CWK event! I hope you enjoyed the event.
• Advisory: School is coming up for a lot of you again, so the Weekend Policy is now in effect for all guild branches. We realize the importance of your studies, and we would rather have you succeed in them than be active everyday in MapleStory. Thus, members are advised to be active only when time allows, which usually will be around Fridays to Sundays.
• September is a unique month for your MTD leader... and there could be surprises in store for all of you. Stay tuned. ;]

Profanity Filter

In regards to profanity, I understand that we have sensitive people on these forums and that profanity may not be pleasent to their eyes. So I will be devising something in my spare time to rectify this issue.

Since we are free to express ourselves here, I personally believe that you can swear, and that you can be able to say whatever you want no matter how controversial. However, there are people here who are sensitive to profanity and therefore, I am proposing a method which masks profanity (similar to the spoiler tags) and will allow people to install a greasemonkey script to remove those tags all together, therefore, if you want to see swear words, you can after you install the greasemonkey script.

In other words, you'd install a script to see swear words. By default, you'll only see a black line. For example: lol you thought it would be a swear word

Regarding today's downtime, it looks like we had a little problem with the server and we had it fixed up. In the future, if the site is down please contact us at mapletip - at - gmail.com and we'll get onto fixing the issue asap.

We will be implementing additional features to ensure this does not happen again in the future.

Hey guys,

Basically a plea for the folks out there. As you may know, MapleTip has been outdated since v.55 due to the new encryption. So if anyone can "help us get updated" to v.58, that is provide tools necessary to get there, we'd gladly appreciate it.

Note: I won't distribute it, it's just to help everyone out there
Note: MapleTip will continue as normal, we're just trying to get the site updated.

Finally... a patch!

Hello ladies and gentlemen. It's iamflip here.

Well, in case you haven't checked the GMS site yet, Nexon America is finally getting around to patching GMS to v.59.

What's in store for this patch? We know there's Crimsonwood, but what else could Nexon America be up to? We'll find out on Wednesday morning... that is unless Nexon America decides to delay it first as usual. ;] In the meantime, discuss everything about the patch here. And no flaming or whining about it. *glares*

Hello ladies and gentlemen. It's me, iamflip, with an exclusive find about the upcoming patch. Thanks to MaxHudson from Southperry, he found an exclusive interview by TentonHamster.com. In that interview with Nexon America's Product Coordinator, Sheloman Byrd, he talks about the latest details on Crimsonwood and beyond. Here's a little snippet:

4. Do you have anything planned out for autumn? Can we expect to see another patch sometime before 2009?

We patch almost every month and it's always something new. We've updated a ton of new stuff this year, from user interface features to content for every level, 1 to 200. We have plenty of tricks left up our sleeve, including a few things that will require a bit more strategy and teamwork to overcome. For our high-level players especially, what we're working on will be a true challenge. It won't be with this upcoming patch, but it will be soon.

OdinMS servers confiscated

According to a new OdinMS news entry, the prosecutor's office of Saarbrücken has confiscated all Odin servers, computers, and the Odin blog has been taken down.

The problem now is an issue of privacy, since the servers have logs of IP addresses which Nexon could use to get individuals.

This is somewhat related to the Viacom Vs. Google case since all history of what people do can be seen by the people who confiscated the servers. Thus, there is an issue of privacy here.
